In the New Year,
we wish you the best year you’ve ever had,
and that each New Year
will be better than the last.
May you realize your fondest dreams
and take time to recognize and enjoy
each and every blessing.
Happy New Year,
And many more
2012. A New Year. A New clean slate. A chance to make things right if we can, and if not..to leave the past behind. I know that the Holiday season can be quite difficult for many of us. Whether we are missing someone dearly, or trying to cope with the emotions and not feeling overwhelmed…what should be a happy time, because a trying one. But my Hope for all for all of you in the New Year is that we can move one step forward on our journeys. We may not be where we thought we would be…but for many of us, we are far from we have started. And we should be able to rejoice in that. Whether it means 3 months or 8 months of recovery, or it means taking another step in our grief journey… we have all done something. So i pray that you don’t lose that HOPE. I pray that you continue to believe there is an end to the tunnel of pain…even if you can’t see it right now. I pray you all find peace this year. I pray that you reach out and find the love that surrounds you, in friends, in family and in support groups. We don’t have to walk our journeys alone. It was never meant to be that way.
This year my only resolution is to stay active and become more active where I can when it comes to speaking out about Suicide,Mental Illness, Self Injury & stigma. And i hope that each one of you resolves to do the same, because I believe we can all make a big difference in this world.
